LAKE MARY – ING members and their guests, plus all members of the media covering the PGA Show, are invited to participate in an exciting schedule of events in the ING Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show.
ClubING, room 309-A, opens daily at 8 with coffee, and closes each day with a Happy Hour and appearances and presentations by special guests. There will be contests and prize giveaways each day, and plenty of space for members to conduct meetings or simply get away from the show floor.
Also in ClubING will be two major awards presentations. The 16th Annual ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference will take place Thursday, 12:30 p.m. Todd Lewis of The Golf Channel is the master of ceremonies. Sponsors include Gustbuster/Sunbuster, PGA Golf Exhibitions, Prince Edward Island and Heritage Creations USA. The 16th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. Nominees in 12 golf business-related categories will be recognized, and winners announced in this awards program. Golf commentator and former LPGA Tour player Mary Bryan will serve as master of ceremonies.
PGA Master Professional Luther Blacklock will do teaching clinics twice daily sponsored by Explanar. Two media receptions are scheduled for 5:30 on Thursday and Friday, sponsored by Johnson & Wales University and Golf Marketing Services.
Also in ClubING, ING will recognize several Public Relations firms for contributions to the association, and outstanding performance. Those firms are Golf Marketing Services, Jamison Golf Group, Macali Communications and Read The Greens.
ING has been networking the golf industry since 1990. Its mission is to bring the golf media together with the golf industry to share information, test products and develop business relationships. The next conference is in May 17-21 at French Lick Resort in Indiana.
