LAKE MARY, Fla. – Golf Marketing Services and four putting-related companies will sponsor “Putting University” and a media reception in the International Network of Golf (ING) Hospitality Room at the PGA Merchandise Show Friday Jan. 30.
“Putting University” will start at 5:15 p.m. in the ING Hospitality Room, ClubING, located in Room 309-A in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. “Putting University” will feature fun and unique presentations surrounding various aspects of the most important part of the game, putting. Capping the university presentation will be a putting contest featuring newly launched “The Putting Game.”
ClubING, hosted by the not-for-profit networking organization, the International Network of Golf, will be a beehive of activity throughout the three days of the PGA Merchandise Show. Two major award presentations are set for 12:30 p.m. the first two days: 16th Annual ING Media Awards Presentation Press Conference on Thursday and the 16th Annual ING Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference on Friday.
There will also be product displays, guest speakers, and daily instructional clinics by PGA Master Professional Luther Blacklock of Explanar in ClubING. A second media reception sponsored by Johnson & Wales University is set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
ING has been networking the golf industry since 1990. Its mission is to bring the golf media together with the golf industry to share information, test products and develop business relationships. The 19th Annual ING Spring Conference is at the incredible French Lick Resort May 17-21, 2009. Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to participate in ING.
About The Sponsors
AccuPutt
AccuPutt is designed to perfect your putting stroke without the aid of visible lines, tracks or guides. The patent-pending combination of the special adjustable aperture putter and a portable, low-profile practice green with an invisible laser allows you to replicate the on-green experience while you train so your stroke is pure, consistent and perfectly accurate.
George Vinyard Golf
The StrokeBalanced Blade by George Vinyard Golf uses a patented RearMount design developed by master craftsman and Wilson Golf’s veteran club designer, Jim Shenoha. While other putters simply redistribute weight to counteract the negative effects of an off-center hit, the Shenoha RearMount creates a squaring effect with zero face rotation.
Swing Dynamics, Inc.
Swing Dynamics, Inc. creators of the putting monitor and the Weight Right Force Plate, is now launching the Putt Right Putting Monitor. In addition to offering patented technology to assist in fitting and instruction, Swing Dynamics has created the Fitting Professional Program, adding state-of-the-art components to its technology products.
The Putting Game
Offering numerous games and putting challenges, The Putting Game is designed to be used indoors on a carpeted floor. It is different because it uses a “virtual cup” (not a physical cup); and provides instant visual feedback on putting speed and putt direction.
