Famed Driver Available for Photos and Autographs; Course Offering $50 Golf Special Through Feb. 15
(DELAND, Fla.) – Victoria Hills Golf Club – the award-winning Ron Garl-designed course managed by Billy Casper Golf and located in Victoria Park, a St. Joe community – will host a special event featuring NASCAR Truck Series driver Mike Skinner on Friday, January 30.
A Daytona Beach resident and avid golfer who frequently plays Victoria Hills, Skinner will appear with the famed No. 5 Toyota Tundra racing truck in the course’s cart staging area next to the clubhouse. Skinner will pose for photographs, sign memorabilia and chat with fans during his visit. Event sponsor DeLand Toyota-Scion will display its new truck models around the course’s practice facility while a barbeque lunch will be available for $5 per person.
Skinner is one of the biggest stars in truck racing, finishing as runner-up in the 2007 Craftsman Truck Series championship, earning 25 career victories, and holding records for poles won and laps led. Skinner won the very first NASCAR Truck Series race and season points title in 1995.
Victoria Hills is also offering a golf special through February 15, 2009, coinciding with the 51st Daytona 500. A fee of just $50, good any day and any time, includes greens fees and GPS-equipped cart. A single coupon is valid for up to four golfers and can be downloaded at www.victoriahillsgolf.com.
