First Ever Tour-Level Ball for Amateur Swing Speeds Recognized for Ingenuity

Covington, GA – At the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, the International Network of Golf presented Bridgestone Golf with the ING Industry Honors Award for the Product Ingenuity – Market Leaders category, recognizing the Tour B330-RX as the most innovative golf product of 2008.

The B330-RX, which has created a new category of golf ball, has taken the golf world by storm, achieving the third highest market share of any current golf ball in the industry in just a few short months. The B330-RX is the first ever Tour-level golf ball designed specifically to work for average amateur swing speeds, maximizing distance and control off the tee, with great greenside performance.

“We’ve known for a while just how good of a ball the B330-RX is, but it is rewarding to see other industry leaders taking note, as well,” said Dan Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “We’re thankful to the ING for their unbiased review of the products submitted for this honor, and we hope that this award will bring even more consumer attention to the fact that the B330-RX is a great fit for many skilled amateurs who have moderate swing speeds.”

Called by some, the “Academy Awards of the golf industry,” the ING Industry Honors program is conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf to recognize outstanding achievement in the golf business.
