Matt Every Agrees to Multi-Year Deal to Play Bridgestone Golf Ball and Irons
Covington, GA – Bridgestone Golf is proud to announce Matt Every as the latest addition to its Nationwide Tour Team. Every, who was a three time All-American at the University of Florida and an alumnus of The Golf Channel’s Big Break Mesquite, will play Bridgestone balls and clubs, wear a Bridgestone Golf glove, wear a Bridgestone Golf logo on his headwear and carry a Bridgestone Golf Tour bag in all professional tournaments.
Every, who will rely on a combo of Bridgestone Golf’s J36 Pocket Cavity irons (3-6) and J36 Cavity Back irons (7-PW) and the new 4-piece Tour B330-S golf ball is expected to debut his new arsenal at the Panama Championship on February 5th.
“As I pursue my goal of full status on the PGA TOUR, I’ve decided that I want Bridgestone Golf in my corner,” said Every. “The new B330-S gives me better distance off the tee without sacrificing any performance around the greens. The J36 irons are awesome clubs too. They look good at address and they offer one of the best forgings on the market.”
In his first full season on the Nationwide Tour in 2008, Every made 12 cuts (including 4 top 10’s, 8 top 25’s) and earned $178,239, good enough for 34th place in the final money list standings.
“Matt is a rising star on the Nationwide Tour and we predict great things for him in the future,” said Shigeru Nakayama, President of Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “We are excited to welcome Matt to the Bridgestone Golf team, and can’t wait to see what he can do with Bridgestone Golf in his bag.”
While the financial terms of the agreement will remain undisclosed, the company is pleased to report the contract is a multi-year deal.
