Irvine, CA (February 4, 2009) — Scuti (S-cut-ti) Grips’s new line of Eco-Friendly Grips (EFG) were a huge hit at last week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. Golfers were excited to learn about an eco-friendly alternative to traditional rubber grips.

Instead of rubber or plastics, the new BigLite EFG grips are made of eco-friendly, biodegradable foam material. The golf industry is not recycling rubber grips; therefore, biodegradable grips can help golfers do their part to help the environment.

“Golfers care deeply about the environment and are all trying to reduce their carbon footprint,” says Tower Chang, marketing director for Scuti Grips. “Until now, there has never been a “green” grip in golf. With the BigLite EFG, we have made major progress towards replacing rubber grips. Show attendees were very excited about this new innovation.”

Golfers also liked the superior shock absorbing power this grip offers.

“There are millions of microscopic air bubbles in the BigLite EFG foam grips to help absorb and dissipate the shock and vibration from the impact to the ground,” stated Chang. “This shock absorbing benefit is especially great news to golfers suffering from arthritics and other golf related injuries.”

Additionally, the BigLite EFG foam grips are up to 60 % lighter than traditional rubber grips.

“The light weight nature is also a big bonus feature in our BigLite super jumbo putter grips. There are a lot of big putter grips on display at this year’s PGA show, and everyone who had stopped by our booth to try out our BigLite Jumbo putter grips agreed that we have the best product in the big putter grip category,” said Chang.

“Most visitors to our booth were amazed at how light weight our big grips are compared to other heavy rubber grips that robs putters of feel. The BigLite putter grip is the only super jumbo putter grip that will not change the feel of a putter,” said Chang.

Retail pricing for the new eco-friendly grip starts under $10 for an iron grip to $25 for the Super Jumbo putter grip. To learn more about the improved Scuti BigLite line of grips, visit online at www.biglitegrips.com.
