Launch Of Highly Anticipated Pete Dye Course Will Coincide With Annual Gathering Of Golf Industry Leaders And Media
LAKE MARY, FL – During the early 1900s, French Lick Resort was a place where the rich and famous came to party, relax, get healthy and be seen – one of the most popular and exciting resorts in the United States. Bing Crosby, Franklin Roosevelt, Al Capone were all visitors at French Lick.
Now, many decades later, the glitter is back to this Indiana resort that is making a huge comeback. Nestled within the Hoosier National Forest in Southern Indiana, French Lick Resort boasts a long history as an elite Midwestern getaway. After emerging from an unprecedented $500 million restoration and renovation, the resort is now a captivating retreat for business and relaxation once again. The resort includes both French Lick Springs and West Baden Springs hotels, restored to their original grandeur – and beyond. Amidst the resort’s historic setting, guests find contemporary luxuries, including decadently appointed rooms.
And in May members of the International Network of Golf will get a first-hand, up close and personal look. The 19th Annual ING Spring Conference is set for May 17-21 at French Lick Resort and its incredible array of properties and amenities.
Registration has begun, and so far early numbers are above projections. Anyone in the golf industry, travel business and media is invited to join ING and attend the conference. Entry form can be found at www.inggolf.com.
“We are extremely proud of our property and we can’t wait to show it off to ING members,” said Mark Bommarito, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We have done a tremendous amount of work on the resort the last few years, and still have more work in front of us. But we know that ING members will be impressed with our resort, and we are going to do all we can to make this the most successful ING conference of all time. We are thrilled to have ING scheduled for French Lick Resort.”
“I’m not sure the word impressed does the trick – how about blown away,” said ING Executive Director Mike Jamison. “It is amazing what the Cook Company has done to bring French Lick back to his days of glory, and beyond. Words just do not do it justice. You have to see it for yourself to believe.
“Throw in the fact that we will be helping to launch a golf course Pete Dye already considers one of his very best, and you have all the makings of a can’t-miss conference.”
Approximately 200 people are expected at this annual gathering of media and golf industry leaders, conducted by the non-profit International Network Of Golf. The four-day conference is full of educational events, networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf. The very popular ING One-On-One Appointment Show returns to the itinerary on Tuesday morning. The appointment show provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships.
Also on the diverse ING itinerary will be workshops, speakers, the Demo Lab, a State Of The Industry Discussion Breakfast, and the ING Fashion Show, which will have a new look.
