TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, Naperville Country Club in Naperville, Ill., and Manila Country Club in Makati City, Philippines, are the winners in Golf Inc. magazine’s annual Renovation of the Year competition.
“We are pleased to honor these outstanding renovation projects,” said Chase Peckham, associate publisher of Golf Inc. “The quality of the entries was exceptionally high. We received submissions from some of the most prestigious courses and respected operators in the world. ”
Golf Inc. will honor the winners and finalists at the upcoming Golf Inc. Spring Conference at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla., March 30-April 1. The awards ceremony will be held March 30 in the World Golf Hall of Fame. The winners also will be featured in the March-April issue of Golf Inc.
TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas in Irving, Texas, was the winner in the daily fee/semiprivate club category. Runner-up was Cog Hill Golf & Country Club Dubsdread Course in Lemont, Ill. The finalists were Ole Miss Golf Club in Oxford, Miss., Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas, and The Links at Bodega Harbour in Bodega Bay, Calif.
Naperville Country Club was honored as the top finisher in the private club category. Runner-up was The Water’s Edge Country Club in Penhook, Va. Finalists in that category were Olympia Fields Country Club South Course in Olympia Fields, Ill., Glenwood Country Club in Old Bridge, N.J., and BallenIsles Country Club East Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Manila Golf Club was judged best in the international courses category. Runner-up was National Service Resort and Country Club in Singapore. The Wisley in Surrey, England, Balcarrick Golf Club in County Dublin, Ireland, and Bahia Beach Golf Club in Puerto Rico were the finalists.
Judges for the contest were Tommy Sasser of Linger Longer Communities, Joe Niebur of Niebur Golf and Rick Robbins of Robbins & Associates International.
