Brand Wins at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am & SBS Open
(Vista, CA – February 13, 2009) Fujikura won the Driver and All Woods shaft brand counts which includes hybrids at the prestigious AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the SBS Open at Turtle Bay.
Fujikura’s new Motore Series is driving its leadership position as 13 new players put the shaft series into play on the PGA and LPGA Tours combined.
“We’re thrilled by these wins on both Tours because these talented male and female professionals continue to demonstrate their confidence in Fujikura shafts to perform in premier events,” says Dave Schnider, President/COO of Fujikura. “It’s so exciting to see the new Motore series gaining play each week with 13 new players using these innovative, high-performance shafts on both Tours. These winning counts confirm Fujikura’s special understanding of the needs and goals of these talented players and how to use our advanced technology, materials and designs to improve their game.”
“This is another excellent week for our brand and team. It’s especially rewarding to continually increase Motore shafts in play,” says Mike Sposa, Fujikura Tour Representative and former PGA Tour pro. “These accomplishments are even more important at the beginning of the season when many pros are establishing and reinforcing their equipment preferences. These pros strongly validate the powerful partnership between Fujikura and our OEM partners to develop and produce this superior performance clubs.”
Fujikura is building its Tour leadership position with the introduction of the new Motore Series, introduced in January. They are available now through Fujikura’s Charter Dealers across the United States and around the world.
The Motore Series shafts feature Fujikura’s proprietary and proven H.I.T. which stores more energy during the downswing and releases the energy just before impact, while maintaining the stability of the entire club. The result is greater distance and accuracy in all clubs. Motore’s “smart” shaping of the tip enables these benefits while minimizing weight, allowing the tip end to accelerate faster than conventional tips.
Fujikura’s Tour leadership was highlighted by being the leading driver shaft brand at all the Tour majors in 2008. The brand’s dominant leadership position reinforces Fujikura’s position as the PGA Tour’s #1 Driver and Wood shaft brand for the last eight years.
Fujikura is the primary supplier to many national brand OEM’s offering both proprietary and brand product shaft designs. Fujikura products also can be custom fitted through its network of over 900 Charter Dealers. To learn more about Fujikura, visit www.fujikuragolf.com.
