(RIDGEFIELD, CT) — Boccieri Golf — maker of the Tour-proven Heavy Putter — has named Paul Coe PGA Tour Representative to help service rapidly growing demand among the world’s top professionals for the company’s innovative, game-enhancing putters.
Formerly Director of Tour Operations for the Bobby Grace putter line from MacGregor Golf, Coe brings a wealth of experience representing high-profile equipment lines on the PGA Tour. His duties with Boccieri Golf will include developing and maintaining player relationships and customizing putters for top performers.
“Paul is a very well-respected member of the PGA Tour community and an ideal fit for Boccieri Golf and Heavy Putter,” says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “His work is already generating an interest spike for our entire product line, including the new MID-WEIGHT Series.”
The recently released MID-WEIGHT Series features five classically designed putters each weighing 750 grams, lighter than previous Heavy Putter models but still heavier than traditional offerings. The line — three blades and two mallets — is crafted with the company’s proprietary technologies that create a consistent, pendulum-like stroke by engaging the body’s core and larger muscles.
“This is a great partnership because Boccieri Golf’s weighting system is unique on Tour,” says Coe. “It reduces putts per round, providing noticeable benefits for players of all abilities, including those at the game’s highest levels. I’m truly excited by the opportunity to make significant inroads this season.”
Prior to his work on the PGA Tour, Coe was a PGA Class A-1 Head Professional at Florida’s Wentworth and Feather Sound Country Clubs and an instructor at the Ben Sutton School of Golf.
About the Heavy Putter
The first and only putter that automatically improves the consistency of the putting stroke, the Heavy Putter has an unprecedented application of a heavier mass head and counter-balanced weight in the grip end of the shaft. This unique distribution promotes greater stroke stability, steady swing paths, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control and tightens the end-over-end golf ball roll.
Introduced in early 2005, the Heavy Putter quickly established itself and is now carried in 50 states, 30 overseas markets, and in many of the finest worldwide off-course shops and most prestigious golf courses, country clubs and resorts.
The Heavy Putter was used to capture the PGA Tour’s Frys.com Open during a run of five-consecutive top-10s by a player using the club. In 2008, the company contributed to a victory and three top-five finishes on the European PGA Tour, while its putters have also been used in competition by major-tournament winners on the Asian PGA, Canadian and Nationwide Tours.
