YES! Golf Finishes Second On European Tour And Third On PGA Tour
DENVER, Feb. 17, 2009 – YES! Golf is off to a great start this year on tour. Over the weekend, YES! recorded a win, two second- and two third-place finishes on the three tours. Laura Davies won her second Australian Open on Sunday at Metropolitan Golf Course in Melbourne using the Donna putter. Runner-up Tania Elosequi and third-place finisher Melissa Reid also used YES! putters.
On the PGA Tour, in the rain-shortened AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, the third-place finisher used a Tracy belly length putter. On the European Tour, David Horsey was runner-up with a YES! putter at the Mayalasian Open.
“It was a strong showing for YES! Golf over the weekend,” said Francis Ricci, president and CEO, YES! Golf. “We are delighted that Laura Davies is back in the winner’s circle again. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the game is great for the game. Our tour reps have been busy the last couple weeks with requests from the players for putters. On the European Tour last week, we had 19 putters in play and 43 at the Australian Open. We are looking forward to another great season on tour.”
The Donna putter, used by Davies, is a hybrid putter composed of two different materials. The face is made of aviation-grade aluminum and the body is made of 304 stainless steel with a head weight of 355 grams. By combining a light face and heavy back, the putter generates a high MOI. The design of the putter is a combination of a mallet and cavity-back blade and is face-balanced, making it very forgiving. The full offset shaft features a double bend and the back cavity of the putter head has a single alignment line. The putter is available in right and left hand for a suggested retail of $300
YES! C-Groove putters continue to gain popularity on the professional tours and in the golf shops. YES! putters are currently used by more than 200 tour professionals worldwide. YES! Golf has 24 models of putters available, including four popular models available in pink.
