No Doubt About It–Tiger Woods is Back In Las Vegas
So what’s the bigger news from today? That Tiger Woods is back at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship or that Tiger Jam, his annual Tiger Woods Foundation fundraiser, returns to Las Vegas in May, headlined by No Doubt? “I’m thrilled No Doubt is kicking off their tour at Tiger Jam,” Woods said. “They are amazing performers, and I’m honored they are helping raise funds and awareness for the millions of young people my Foundation supports.” The concert is scheduled for May 16 and will be part of a weekend-long party with special events at Las Vegas golf courses Cascata and Rio Secco Golf Club.

PGA Tour’s TPC LV to Host Country Music Superstars
TPC Las Vegas is owned and operated by the PGA Tour, and is a past host to Las Vegas golf events on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. And once again this Las Vegas golf course will be the host course for the Academy of Country Music Celebrity Golf Classic on April 4. For the 2nd consecutive year, the event is hosted by Rascal Flatts. The golf tournament is the day before the ACM awards at the MGM Grand Arena, hosted for the 11th time by Reba McEntire. Golf Alliance Promotes Multi-Billion Dollar Industry
Last year, the National Golf Foundation published a survey that determined that the total direct, indirect and enabled economic impact of the golf industry in the United States was $195 billion annually. Or, in other words, larger than the motion picture, newspaper and spectator sports’ industries. And this week, in celebration of Nevada Golf Day at the Legislature, leaders of the Nevada Golf Industry Alliance (NGIA) took that study and others to Carson City, Nevada, to educate the state’s lawmakers on the positives that golf brings to Nevada.
