PrideSports Wins Cleat Count at WGC Accenture Match Play, While Softspikes® Cleats Capture Triple Wins at PGA Mayakoba Golf Classic, Nationwide Tour’s Moonah Golf Classic and LPGA Tour’s Honda LPGA Thailand
Brentwood, Tennessee, March 2, 2009 … PrideSports, maker of Softspikes® golf cleats, the world’s best selling cleat, had another stellar weekend in professional golf, capturing the cleat field at the WGC Accenture Match Play with over 65% of the overall elite cleat field using the Company’s stable of products. Additionally, Softspikes®, the #1 cleat brand on TOUR, captured a weekend sweep as the winners of the PGA Mayakoba Golf Classic and the Nationwide Tour’s Moonah Golf Classic both donned Pulsar® cleats, while the winner of the Honda LPGA Thailand wore Black Widow®.
At the Mayakoba Golf Classic, nearly 80% of the plastic and metal wearing cleat field, including 33 of the top 38 finishers, wore PrideSports products, while 21 of the top 28 finishers wore PrideSports products at the Moonah Golf Classic. Moreover, the top three finishers at the Honda LPGA Thailand wore PrideSports and Softspikes products.
