Dublin, Ireland (March 10, 2009) – GolfBuddy Europe is proud to announce a three-year sponsorship agreement with the PGAs of Europe and has become the “Official Handheld GPS Rangefinder of the PGAs of Europe”.
This partnership will include a number of joint marketing initiatives, which will promote GolfBuddy to PGA members and golfers across Europe and will also see GolfBuddy playing an active role at several high-profile PGAs of Europe exhibitions, conferences, seminars and events.

GolfBuddy launched in Europe in January, from its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, and has experienced a high volume of sales. In the United States, GolfBuddy has already posted a significant market share, attracting customers with free download access to thousands of golf courses around the globe.

GolfBuddy’s course library (Over 14,000 in the U.S.A, and over 20,000 worldwide) continues to expand at a significant rate. GolfBuddy’s team of course surveyors, which comprises of both professional golfers and better amateurs, will map out more than 5,000 European and African by the end of 2009. These courses will be made available for download with no subscription fees or annual membership fees.
GolfBuddy is available in two models, the GolfBuddy Pro, and the GolfBuddy Tour. Both units offer the same advanced features, but the Tour comes equipped with a color screen. GolfBuddy is currently the only hand-held GPS rangefinder on the market that comes with courses pre-programmed into its memory.
When on sale in North America, the units come with all the available courses in North America pre-loaded loaded, with no annual fees or download fees, and the unit is capable of storing up to 20,000 courses. It also features automatic course and hole recognition, a scorecard function, the ability to measure the distance of the last shot, and allows the user to add custom target points.
Each unit will be multi lingual and consumers from UK, Germany,France, Italy, and Spain will be able to access the device through their own languages.
