POWAY, Calif. – Aldila helped drive the winner of the Honda Classic to his historic first PGA Tour win at the Honda Classic as he relied on the enhanced power, consistent flex and precise feel of their NV® shafts in his Driver and hybrids. With the victory, he became just the second South Korean golfer to win on the PGA Tour. He finished with a 9-under 271 (68-65-70-68) to win by one stroke and qualify for this week’s World Golf Championships-CA Championship at Doral and also punched his ticket for the Masters in April.
Aldila’s latest shaft, the VooDoo featuring its patent pending S-core Technology™, was instrumental for the winner of the HSBC New Zealand PGA Championship on the Nationwide Tour. The Hamilton, New Zealand native relied on the VooDoo’s accuracy, stability and increased distance to drive his way to victory and was key for him to finish in a first place tie for fairways hit in regulation. He also tied for first place in greens hit in regulation.
“The outstanding accuracy and distance from the VooDoo is what sets it apart from the competition,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The real ‘magic’ is the high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. The innovative rib structure keeps the shaft more concentric, preventing shaft ovaling, deformation and wasted energy during the golf swing. The Aldila VooDoo simply helps generate consistently straight and long shots – with feel competitor shafts can’t match.”
As more and more Tour players make the switch to the stabilized core of the VooDoo shaft, Aldila continues to be the primary woods and hybrids shafts of choice on the PGA Tour, according to the Darrell Survey.
After winning the woods and hybrids shaft counts at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship and Mayakoba Classic last week, “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” followed it up by keeping the #1 spot by winning the woods and hybrids counts at the Honda Classic and the New Zealand Open this week.
Aldila has the unique ability to define the intangibles of the game of golf. To translate numbers into theory, theory into practice, and practice into perfection. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
