The Putting Arc

March 13, 2009

Update from the WGC at Doral – 12 of the top 80 players in the world were observed using a Putting Arc on the practice green at Doral during the practice rounds. 10 of these players brought their own Arcs, and two borrowed a Putting Arc from our tour rep, Ken McDonald.

Congratulations to the Old Waverly team for their 13 stroke victory last weekend in the 2009 Winter Shootout. This is a five man team event, with one pro and four amateurs, playing from the back tees. There were 25 teams from six states playing in the event. The low two scores are counted on each hole, and Old Waverly finished 36 under par. The team consisted of VJ Trolio, Richard Reed, Scott Taylor, Jake Lambert, and Brooks Bankhead.

Congratulations also to VJ Trolio for his win in the professional division, and to longtime Putting Arc user and VJ student Jake Lambert, for his win in the amateur division.

Finally, congratulations to recent winners on the various professional tours: Eduardo Romero (Champions Tour), YE Yang (PGA Tour), and Jiyai Shin (LPGA Tour).

Pro wins since 2003 – 642 Pro wins in 2009 – 28
