Laser Link Golf Announces That Its New CartLink System Will Be Available This Spring

March 18, 2009

MADISON, WI – Laser Link Golf is excited to announce that it is nearing completion of its much-anticipated CartLink System. A prototype of the CartLink was available for viewing at the 2009 PGA Show in Orlando, and the 2009 Golf Industry Show in New Orleans. The finished product is scheduled for release this spring, and orders are now being taken for the summer golf season.

CartLink is Laser Link Golf’s latest innovation. In short, it’s the newest way for the golf course manager to deliver the best in distance measurement technology to his/her players. The system consists of three main parts: Laser Link’s best-selling QuickShot rangefinder, a waterproof case with retractable security cord, and a mounting system that allows the unit to be easily attached to each golf car in a fleet. Put all three together and you have a product that will provide three things that golfers at any level are sure to enjoy – convenience, faster rounds, and better scores.

“The response to the product at the PGA Show was phenomenal,” said Wayne Timberman, vice president of Laser Link Golf. “The CartLink really is a great way for a club to not only add a new amenity, but to increase revenue. It truly will pay for itself in a very short period of time.”

So far, the golf industry is seeing CartLink as a perfect alternative to GPS. Many clubs have been looking for another choice because of the drawbacks of a typical GPS unit. Poor accuracy, high cost, and the inability to measure distances to the flagstick are all common shortcomings of both handheld and cart-mounted GPS. CartLink is affordable, accurate, and provides precise distance to the flagstick, all in a small but powerful package.

About Laser Link Golf

Laser Link Golf is the producer of the Laser Link Distance System, the revolutionary distance measurement system designed specifically for golf. The laser-based system utilizes two components – a handheld laser rangefinder and a flagstick-based reflector – to determine the exact distance to the flagstick. Laser Link Golf products include the popular QuickShot™ rangefinder, the SmartStick™ reflector system, and the Smarty™ flagstick reflector – and now CartLink. The System is designed to speed up play and add enjoyment to the game. It is in use at more than 2,500 private clubs around the country, and several more daily fee courses. Laser Link Golf is based in Madison, WI, and is owned and operated by many of the same individuals that started SoftSpikes®. They are involved in Laser Link Golf for the same reason they got involved in SoftSpikes® – both are good for the game! www.laserlinkgolf.com
