Nationwide Voting, Grand Prize Drawing Part of Retailer’s GT-10 Anniversary Celebration

(TORONTO) – Golf Town – Canada’s largest golf retailer with unequaled selection and competitive prices – announces a new promotion providing consumers nationwide the chance to vote for the ‘Top 10 Greatest Canadian Golf Moments’ and enter to win a fabulous stay-and-play vacation.

Part of GT-10 – the company’s season-long 10th anniversary celebration – ballots for this initiative will be available at all Golf Town superstores, as well as online at www.golftown.com. Customers will be able to pick their 10 favourite moments from 25 of the country’s most historic golf-related events, with each ballot serving as an entry into the grand prize drawing.

Following the September 1 voting deadline, Golf Town will announce the nation’s Top 10 moments in golf and select one lucky winner to receive a “Best of Golf in Prince Edward Island” package valued at more than $5,000 CAD.

“This initiative is a great way to celebrate our anniversary and the country’s tremendous golfing heritage while providing our customers with the opportunity to win the trip of a lifetime,” says Stephen Bebis, President and CEO. “We expect this program will generate a lot of interest from coast to coast, and we’re really looking forward to the voting results.”

The six night/seven day PEI prize package includes round-trip airfare for two from anywhere in Canada, rental car, accommodations and golf at five of the country’s most highly-rated courses, such as Brudenell River, Crowbush Cove and Dundarave.

Commemorating the retailer’s growth from a one-shop operation in Scarborough, ON in 1999 to its current roster of 41 stores, the GT-10 campaign is designed to engage players of all ages.
