Mesa, AZ – Dixon Golf, the Official Golf Ball of the 2009 Egolf Amateur Tour, announced today that they will be participating in the Tour’s upcoming Earth Day Initiative. With over 2,000 participants, the Initiative will run an entire week, from Saturday, April 18th thru EARTH DAY, Saturday, April 25th, 2009. During the week long Earth Day Initiative, 27 tournaments will be held throughout the country and every player in the field will be playing a Dixon High-Performance Earth golf ball. Players will be able to experience the benefits of this High-Performance golf ball while being 100% Eco-Friendly at the same time. During this Earth Day Initiative, “Going for the Green” will have a whole new meaning!
Each player will be provided a sleeve of Dixon Earth golf balls in exchange for donating/recycling at least 3 used golf balls of any brand. One of the goals of this initiative is to accumulate and recycle as many golf balls as possible.
Amazingly; Dixon didn’t have to sacrifice playability to become environmentally friendly. Just the opposite, the Dixon Earth golf ball outperformed the Nike One Platinum, Callaway Tour ix and Titleist Pro V1, in independent testing by PGA TOUR Partners Club, and received an incredible 92% Approval Rating!
Dixon will launch their presence on the Egolf Amateur Tour this week in Savannah, GA. For the remainder of the 2009 season tour professionals will enjoy consistent practice balls at each tournament location. The new practice balls will follow the tour to each stop giving the tour members great practice feedback and performance.
Dixon Earth – Good For The Environment Better For Your Game!
Unlike other Golf Ball Brands who use harsh heavy-metal pollutants like tungsten, cobalt and lead, and contain non-renewable synthetic materials and compounds; the Dixon Earth golf ball is “green” to the core. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material. From core to cover, from packaging to production, Dixon Earth is setting a new standard in environmental consciousness.
