MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Project X shafts designed and engineered by True Temper captured wins at the Shell Houston Open on the PGA Tour and the Stonebrae Classic on the Nationwide Tour this past weekend. The Houston Open marked the 11th straight win on the PGA Tour for True Temper shafts which have earned world-wide acclaim for tour-winning performances through distance, accuracy and consistency.
The Shell Houston Open was the first United States PGA Tour win for the champion who has won eleven European events. The 31-year-old Englishman opened the tournament with a blistering 66 in the first round and shot an 11-under par 277 to win the tournament. It was a similar story on the West Coast with a young gun firing five birdies on Sunday to win the Nationwide Tour’s Stonebrae Classic.
