CULVER CITY, CA – The 2009 almostGOLF College Tour kicks off the golf season with its first tour stop at Quinnipiac University. Quinnipiac University’s Tau Kappa Epsilon Chapter, Student Programming Board and Residence Hall Council are hosting a charitable golf outing to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital on Sunday, April 19th 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The almostGOLF College Tour will transform Quinnipiac University’s Academic Quadrangle into a driving range and golf course. This event is open to students, alumni and friends of Quinnipiac University, faculty, employees and the general public. Over 300 participants are expected for this fun event and worthwhile cause.
Since almostGOLF’s revolutionary ball has successfully broken the safety barrier, it has made it possible to bring the game of golf to campuses across the United States and Canada. “The almostGOLF College Tour is the first ever golf tour that does what traditional golf has never been able to do…bring golf directly onto campus”, said Teddy Durkin, COO of almostGOLF. “The Quinnipiac University’s Tau Kappa Epsilon Chapter, Student Programming Board and Residence Hall Council do a great job with their philanthropy effort and we look forward to our continued partnership to grow this event in years to come.”
