Gay, who has won more than $1.6 million this season, has made 10 cuts in 11 starts this season. In addition to his Heritage victory, Gay has a T5 at the Sony Open and a T6 at the FBR Open.

The victory at Harbour Town also vaulted Gay to seventh on the on the FedExCup points list with 927 points.
