The Blue Hawk XT30 Driver is now Headquartered at Inverrary Country Club in Lauderhill, Florida
Lauderhill, Florida — April 25, 2009 — The Blue Hawk XT30 Driver, the longest USGA (United States Golf Association) approved legal hitting driver on the market, has made Inverrary Golf Club its operational headquarters, according to David Bowlby, Blue Hawk President.
The Blue Hawk was designed by senior scratch golfer Bill O’keefe because he was tired of being out driven by younger players. O’keefe, who was ranked as high as the #2 senior amateur in the state, is clearly responsible for building this exceptional club, says Bowlby,
“The Blue Hawk has a classic look, feel and sound. Golfers who swing on plane and make solid contact gain 15 to 35 yards. Our normal increase in distance is 22 yards, with a low of 15 and a high of 35 yards with no loss of accuracy,” adds Bowlby.
The Blue Hawk driver was also used by Adam Adams in this year’s 2009 Allianz Championship Tour in Boca Raton.” It’s the best driver I have ever hit, I actually didn’t mind having to pay for it,” Adams said.
The Blue Hawk continues its’ success by racking up three additional FSGA winter series events as well as being used by Peter Wegmann to capture last year’s Florida State Golf Association Mid-Senior Championship. Over 700 players are currently using the Blue Hawk Driver at South Florida golf courses.
The announcement means the Blue Hawk, used by amateur and professional golfers, will be long associated with Inverrary. “Inverrary is a natural home for the Blue Hawk Driver, with its storied past combined with its challenging and contemporary fairways and greens. The Blue Hawk also strives to combine the great traditions of the game with new technology and ideas,” Bowlby said.
“Inverrary Country Club welcomes the Blue Hawk Driver, and is proud to serve as the home of such an excellent, technologically advanced club,” said Nick Fortunato, Inverrary General Manager and class A PGA Professional. When the Blue Hawk driver was initially introduced to me I thought it was another gimmick Fortunato said. I currently play the driver, my entire professional staff, my club champ, my senior club champ and 40 plus members play this wonderful club,” said Fortunato.
Bowlby said the Blue Hawk was never intended to accommodate the so-called flat bellies but rather the 40 plus crowd looking to pick up the yards of their youth. Bowlby ensures his players will immediately pick up a minimum of 4 mph of club head speed. He said accuracy is not lost as the Blue Hawk is lighter than any regular 45-inch driver.
