LAKE MARY, FL – One will train your brain. Another will gauge your clubhead speed and help you hit the ball longer. A third promises to positively affect all aspects of your golf swing.
NeurOptimal Golf, Sports Sensors and All New Golf are just three of several training companies who have registered for the 19th Annual ING Spring Conference May 17-21 at the beautiful and historic French Lick Resort in Indiana
The non-profit International Network of Golf conducts this annual gathering of golf media and business leaders to exchange information, display products and develop and nurture business relationships. Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to attend (www.inggolf.com).
NeurOptimal Golf has a time-tested and unique system. 21st century neuroscience shows you your own brain working, and correcting itself. You find a relaxed state, return to the “zone,” and flow into this moment’s focus – in every day life, and especially in high-demand situations. The company will be set up to provide free trial runs during various times at the ING Spring Conference.
Swing Speed Radar® with Tempo Timer is always a big hit at the PGA Merchandise Show, and is strongly recommended by professional clubmakers. It is two instruments in one, providing golfers with a measurement of their actual tempo time as well as their swing speed as they strive to optimize their swing mechanics and rhythm for their best distance, control, consistency, and accuracy. It is also an effective, convenient tool for professional instructors like Jim McLean.
All New Golf will be taking the wrapper off brand new technology at the ING Spring Conference, and has not released any details about the product, other than to say that golf schools and individuals will both benefit from this swing-training device.
Those three companies will be displaying at the ING Demo Lab on Tuesday afternoon of the conference. Approximately 15 companies will have their latest products on display for testing by the attendees, including everything from golf clubs to putters to sunglasses to trainers.
The popular ING One-On-One Appointment Show, a key component of the conference, is also set for Tuesday morning. It was created to place an emphasis on business relations between the media and golf companies, resorts, destinations and entrepreneurs. Some other elements of an action-packed ING schedule are:
1)Food For Thought Breakfast: Workers from various aspects of the golf industry will lead a discussion about the current state and the future direction of the golf industry.
2)The International Pairs World Qualifier. A two-player team that wins this 18-hole net points competition at the brand new Pete Dye Course at French Lick will represent ING and the USA in the International Pairs World Finals at Carnoustie in Scotland in October, an expenses-paid trip. The Durland Cup scramble will also be conducted, along with other golf events.
3)The ING Fashion Show. ING members will take to the runway as models, sporting the latest and greatest fashions from some of the industry’s top apparel companies.
4)Education and self-improvement programs galore from utilizing the New Social Media, to marketing, to public relations, publishing, writing and more. There is something for everyone.
Helping to kick off the week in a positive and energetic way is motivational speaker Bruce Boguski of Winner’s Edge. At age 18, Boguski was partially paralyzed in an automobile accident. After doctors warned that he might never walk again, he left the hospital six months later under his own power. After a two-year struggle to regain full use of his body, Boguski went on to become a two-time state champion in racquetball and played for a state championship softball team. Today, being able to talk from personal experience, he speaks to groups of all types on how attitude makes the difference in whatever we do.
French Lick Resort has recently completed a $500 million renovation, and featured two stunning hotels and golf courses by Pete De and Donald Ross.
Dye will be on hand Sunday night for a Q&A to help kick off the conference.
