POWAY, Calif. – This week’s Quail Hollow Championship hosted arguably one of the best fields at a non-major tournament so far this season and Aldila proved to be the top shaft manufacturer of choice for woods and hybrid shafts, according to the Darrell Survey.
In fact their hybrid shafts were chosen by nearly a 2-to-1 margin over the next leading shaft manufacturer at the last two PGA events, Quail Hollow and the Zurich Classic.
Leading the way once again for “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” was their number one shaft, the VooDoo®, featuring its patent pending S-core Technology™. When the first ball was struck on Thursday at Quail Hollow Aldila had 40 VooDoo shafts in play.
S-core or stabilized core is designed to maximize distance and provide outstanding accuracy. The VooDoo’s secret is its internal carbon-fiber rib system that runs the length of the shaft and dramatically stabilizes its cross-section. The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross-sectional stabilization.
“The increased stability allows the VooDoo to better resist shaft ‘ovaling’ and deformation during the swing, which maximizes energy transfer to the ball and yields unparalleled distance and accuracy,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Because the shaft’s symmetry is maintained throughout the swing, it loads and unloads more consistently, enabling you to more reliably deliver the club head to the ball every swing.”
Aldila catapults power to an unprecedented level. High performance technology harnessed and perfected from a special blend of materials, design and expertise. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel.
