HONMA Golf Co. Ltd. JAPAN-will release the 3rd generation BERES 8-Series, MG803 in May 2009! Each iron has a specific structure flow design, a first for HONMA! Irons #3-#7 consist of a two-piece structure of SUS630 body, ES230 forged-variable-thickness-face, contains two, five gram weights, which double the gravity of the distributed weight to the toe and heel resulting, in a better M.O.I. from the previous model. The mid to short irons, #8-#SW, are a one-piece structure, with an integrated cavity. The entire cast club head is comprised of soft MS225 stainless steel. The #11 and #SW are superior performance wedges. They boast a larger face and sweet spot for better accuracy.
The standard production MG803 is a 2-Star grade (MSRP $345/club) up to the ultra-prestigious 5-Star grade (MSRP $4,395.00/club) featuring P1000 Platinum, 24k gold embellishment and ion plated shaft for those who like the finer things in life. The MG803 features the HONMA ARMRQ UD54 graphite shaft for amateur players with average head speed. The MG803 can be ordered with the ARMRQ UD62, and UD70 shafts by special order only. Also, by special order only, HONMA is also producing an ion plated model available in HONMA’s ARMRQ graphite shaft, Nippon shaft 950GH or dynamic gold steel. The MG803 is available as a 10pc set (No.3-10, 11, SW) or can be broken into a partial set as per the customer’s preference.
