The Atlantic Coast Conference announces its All-ACC men’s team, including N.C. State’s Matt Hill as Player of the Year. Joining Hill are Kyle Stanley, Ben Martin and David May of Clemson, Matt Savage and Drew Kittleson of Florida State, Cameron Tringale of Georgia Tech, John Popeck of Maryland, Kevin O’Connell of North Carolina, Darren Blair of N.C. State, Drew Weaver of Virginia Tech, and Dustin Groves of Wake Forest. Also honored were Koepka (Freshman of the Year) and Georgia Tech’s Bruce Heppler (Coach of the Year).

Arnold Palmer offers an industry rallying call at KPMG‘s sixth Golf Business Forum, May 4-6, in Budapest, Hungary. Palmer, a seven-time major champion, addressed the audience of international golf business leaders, investors and developers on the economic situation. “I was born during the Great Depression and I’ve lived through economic recessions,” Palmer said. “We will come out of this one having learned from the experience – and we’ll be stronger.” … Feel Golf Co., Inc. signs a new seven-year Canadian distribution agreement. … Callaway Golf Magazine launches a new iMAG, which extends the reach of the 920,000 circluation print publication, at www.callawaygolf.com/magazine. … Old Corkscrew in Estero, Fla., makes Zagat‘s “America’s Top Golf Courses” guide book. Old Corkscrew is among the “Noteworthy Newcomers” special listing in the guide. … The King’s Challenge Golf Course in Cedar, Mich., is now under new ownership. … The Junior Golf Association of Arizona promotes Melanie Boyles as the organization’s new tournament director.

Golf Channel‘s “The Haney Project,” in which noted instructor Hank Haney attempts to fix NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley‘s golf swing, returns tonight, Monday, at 10 p.m. ET for the first of the three final episodes. On May 18, Barkley and Haney play one final round together and on the May 25 finale, the two reflect on their journey and what the future might hold. … CBS Sports‘ final-round coverage of the PGA Tour’s Quail Hollow Championship scores a national household rating/share of 3.7/9, up 131 percent from last year’s 1.6/4 and up 9 percent from 2007’s 3.4/8, and ties 2005 for the highest rating final round since the tournament’s debut in 2003. CBS Sports’ two-day average earned an average national household rating/share of 3.0/8, up 114 percent from last year.

The Women’s Trans National Golf Championship is set for July 20-25 at Tennessee National Golf Course in Loudon, Tenn.
