Medicus Swingology Golf Schools, will now give its students access to the acclaimed ball flight monitor TrackMan™ located at its Institute headquarters (Medicus Golf Institute) in Destin, FL. As seen on The Golf Channel and ABC/ESPN, this technology is the most accurate means to analyze a golfer’s swing and ball flight through the entire duration of the shot.
TrackMan™ measures the full trajectory of any shot, ranging from short pitches to 400-yard drives and measures the landing position with an accuracy of 1 foot at 100 yards. TrackMan’s wealth of applications will be used to allow students of the Medicus Golf Institute the ability to dial-in every aspect of their swing through an effective and scientific system that leaves no room for speculation.
The entire TrackMan™ system is a fully portable, radar-based solution that sets up in less than 2 minutes and is composed of a base radar unit located directly behind the golfer and connects to any onsite laptop unit via USB connection. The base radar housing is about the size of a standard PC monitor, is fairly lightweight, requires no calibration and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
“Students will ultimately be able to achieve a higher level of success more efficiently by being introduced to those aspects of their game that normally cannot be analyzed within a traditional teaching environment”, said Director of Operations for the Medicus Golf Institute, Randy Sparks. “Our students will now be able to do things quicker and more effectively than ever before…even simple things such as determining their average distances for best club selection, tweaking their equipment, and checking gap fittings…the system really is a huge advantage for any golfer looking to develop a plan for immediate improvement.”
Chuck Evans, Director of Instruction and Golf Magazine TOP 100 Teachers in America, and staff will be using the TrackMan™ system in their training programs. “TrackMan™ will be instrumental in helping our students refine their distance control…One of several advantages the TrackMan system offers.” said Evans. Rarely do golfers know the precise distance they can hit each club. TrackMan™ will provide us with this meaningful data, and also let us know how accurately students hit each club.”
Overall TrackMan™ will provide real-time feedback on the swing and the resulting ball flight to the instructor and student, making lessons even more effective. Additionally, there are several TrackMan™ teaching applications that will allow Medicus Golf Institute instructors to monitor the progress of their students over time, creating an advantage in helping students improve their game faster.
Medicus Swingology Golf Schools introduce students to the true science of the swing allowing them to create total accuracy, distance, and consistency in their game. Students learn the basic components that make up every golf swing and discover the “Key Alignments” that every successful golfer MUST accomplish to master the game! Students see and learn why all Tour Professionals accomplish these alignments by maintaining a golf “Swing Pattern” built around their own personal swing geometry.
