Tour player Keith Fergus won the Regions Charity Classic finishing with a 12-under par during the 36-hole rain-shortened event. This is Fergus’ 2nd win in the past 4 starts, after his dramatic win at Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic earlier this year. Since playing the Alpha V5 LX driver, his standing has also climbed to 2nd on the money list and 3rd in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
Since playing the Alpha V5 LX, Fergus continues to outdrive at every event. “It’s the most powerful and consistent driver I’ve ever played,” says Fergus. “All the other players are noticing how perfect my drives are. I’m having a phenomenal time and it’s amazing.”
The V5 LX driver is designed to be 22% more rigid than a traditional driver, due to an innovative Variable Crown Thickness technology which strengthens the body and minimizes deformation at impact. “The key to maximizing smash factor (and thus ball speed) is minimizing deformation of the club head”, says Dr. Jim Yeh, founder and chief designer of Alpha Golf. “Other drivers only focus on increasing the contact time with the ball. We are the first to address both the impact of the ball on the face and the energy transfer through the body of the club head.”
