SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Scottsdale-based OB Sports announces the 2009 OB Sports Cardholder Scholarship program. In its second year, the program was created to provide an opportunity for children of current OB Sports Cardholders (customers who have enrolled in the card/loyalty programs at participating facilities) to secure a scholarship to be utilized for college tuition. Its purpose is to encourage the attainment of higher education by children of OB Sports Cardholders, based on achieving a high level of academic success during high school or college. In total, ten $500 Scholarships will be awarded from a number of participating OB Sports-managed facilities this year.
“We really try to come up with unique ways to add value to our guests, especially our loyal guests,” said Phil Green, President of OB Sports Golf Management. “The scholarship program invests in one of our Cardholder’s most important goals, the education of their children. And who knows, maybe the recipients will take up the game, if they haven’t already. After their homework is completed, of course.”
