Alexandria, VA – May 22, 2009 – The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) will launch its first online member directory in early June. With the 2009-2010 CMAA Yearbook and Member Directory, the Association will transform a desk resource into instant desktop access. The new product will offer CMAA members the very same information previously found in the front of the former print publication. This content will be viewed by “turning” the e-pages and zooming in and out for details. Within this “front” content will be hyperlinks to information such as the Association calendar; renewal information; registration and order forms for Business Management Institute (BMI) programs, the Annual Conference and Bookmart; and more. This content and all forms will always be current, giving members access to the most recent information.
In its former design, the directory was obsolete once published, as members moved and their contact information changed. The new directory will ensure that members always have access to a CMAA membership roster that is updated daily. Via CMAA username and password, users will locate peers by name, club name, state, chapter and/or zip code. The option to add members’ information (v-cards) to personal contact systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, will also be available.
Advertisements appearing in the online directory will click through to more information on the products and services best serving the club industry.
“With the online 2009-2010 CMAA Yearbook and Member Directory, we’re taking the best of the former print publication and adding enormous value for our members,” notes CMAA Chief Executive Officer Jim Singerling, CCM, CEC. “At the same time, we’re showing how much CMAA cares about the environment. The e-directory offers us the opportunity to save a few more trees and strengthen our commitment to conserving natural resources.”
