Banner Weekend For Softspikes® Brand On Tour, As Pulsar® Cleat Captures Win & Cleat Field At PGA TOUR’s HP Byron Nelson Classic, While Dominating The Competition By 4:1 Ratio At Senior PGA Championship
Brentwood, Tennessee, May 26, 2009 … The innovative Softspikes® Black Widow® Tour™, golf’s first adjustable cleat, captured its first victory in professional golf, as the winner of the LPGA’s Corning Classic donned the cleat, while the Softspikes brand overall also claimed the top 3 spots. As part of a banner weekend for Softspikes on tour, the Pulsar® cleat captured a victory at the PGA TOUR’s HP Byron Nelson Classic, backed by 70% of the plastic cleat field, including 23 of the top 34 finishers who utilized Softspikes products.
Additionally, and complementing the Black Widow Tour’s inaugural victory, 82% of the plastic cleat field, including 26 of the top 33 finishers at the prestigious Senior PGA Championship, wore Softspikes products. In fact, Softspikes outdistanced its competition at this event by a more than 4:1 ratio.
