ClubPay (www.clubpayroll.com) President Tom Howard delivered a presentation at the Mid-Florida Chapter Mini-Education Conference held Tuesday, May 19th at the Rosen School of Hospitality Management in Orlando, Florida.
The presentation focused on way in which the employment market is changing for both employers and employees. The economy, technology and communication were identified as the key drivers of change. Specific issues discussed included increasing employment litigation and leveraging technology to manage the growing volume of applicants. Additionally, the role social marketing plays in recruitment, hiring and finding a job was discussed in detail.
“Given the high unemployment rates we are seeing, it is more important than ever to have a defined systematic approach to managing applicants and hiring right”, remarks ClubPay President Tom Howard. “We don’t hire positions, we hire people. Recent advances in technology and the popularity of social media has greatly enhanced employers’ ability to form a 360 degree view of applicants”, he added.
The conference was offered to members of the HFTP (Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals) Mid-Florida Chapter and the overall them was how to be prepared for “change” in the club, hotel and hospitality industries.
