Points Switches to SeeMore, Shoots 16 under, Earns Career Best 3d Place Finish, $442,000 Check
(Franklin, TN – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) The SeeMore Putter Company congratulates D.A. Points, who finished strong on Sunday with a back nine 30 for solo 3d place, the best finish of his career. Points initially switched to a SeeMore putter for his final round last week at the Valero Texas Open, where he shot 67 with only 23 putts. So he brought his hot new SeeMore putter to Dallas and the HP Byron Nelson Championship and went out and recorded a blistering 4 round total of 68-66-65-65, 16 under par. His putts for the 4-day tournament were a stellar 29-27-26-25, placing him 6th in the field in fewest putts per round. His Putts per green in regulation for the event were 1.635, also placing him 6th in the field in that category.
“SeeMore is very proud that D.A. achieved such wonderful results his first full week in the putter”, said Jim Grundberg, Managing Partner of SeeMore. “Of course he played brilliant golf overall, and we are delighted to have played a small role in that success”. In fact over his first 5 rounds with the SeeMore putter, Points has averaged exactly 26 putts per round, a stunning string of hot putting.
Points amazing week comes right on the heels of SeeMore being used by last week’s repeat winner of the Valero Texas Open, who has now won 5 times using SeeMore over the past 26 months and is now #1 overall in the Fed Ex Cup standings.
Deadly Precise Putters and Putting System
SeeMore putters feature its patented Riflescope Technology alignment system (RST), known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process is like locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke
SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament. Stewart also won the overall putting title for fewest putts per round over the entire 1999 season. The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. Johnson also set the all-time putting average record on the Nationwide Tour for the entire season in 2003 (1.699 putts per GIR).
SeeMore’s newly redesigned website at www.seemore.com and new www.seemoreputtersblog.com has many new features including videos about the proprietary SeeMore putting system and its proven and patented RST alignment system as well as news about SeeMore’s remarkable legacy and Tour success. SeeMore putters are custom made in Franklin, TN.
