Carlsbad, Calif. (May 26, 2009) – Add three more to Rossa’s victory count as three players used Rossa® putters to win on the PGA, Champions and LPGA tours last week.
Rory Sabbatini, one of the newest members of the TaylorMade Tour Staff, used a Rossa TP by Kia Ma Daytona to win the PGA Tour’s HP Byron Nelson Championship, and in doing so ranked No. 1 in putts per green in regulation (1.531) and tied for No. 1 in putts per round (25.8).
The Rossa TP by Kia Ma putter franchise consists of three blades – Daytona (Rory’s choice), Monaco and Imola; and two mallets – Monte Carlo and Maranello, each 100% CNC-milled from soft 1020 carbon steel and completed with a rich, midnight finish. Named after Rossa’s resident putter craftsman Kia Ma, these beautiful putters are finished in fine detail and boast a quality of feel at impact that’s absolutely unparalleled. Learn More.
On the Champions Tour, Michael Allen used a Rossa Itsy Bitsy Monza® Spider to win the Senior PGA Championship, overcoming a first-round 74 to finish at 6-under. Allen, who never won in 334 starts on the PGA Tour, became the 14th player to win in his Champion’s Tour debut.
Finally, the winner of the LPGA Corning Classic also played an Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider, and used it to sink 19 birdies and four eagle-putts en route to a winning score of 21-under par.
As its name suggests, the Itsy Bitsy Monza Spider is smaller than the original Monza Spider. It was created at the request of tour pros who wanted a midsize Monza Spider that, like the original, is extremely forgiving, easy to aim and promotes excellent roll. Learn More.
