ORLANDO, Fla., (May 29, 2009) -Golfweek Editor Jeff Babineau has been named vice president of Turnstile Publishing Company. In addition to his post at the magazine, Babineau will become more involved with strategic and operational planning for the entire publishing company, which is the parent company of Golfweek and other high-end publications.

“Jeff has been a key member of our organization for more than a decade, and this is certainly a hard-earned and well-deserved promotion,” said Clayton Morris, president of Turnstile Publishing Company. “His knowledge and guidance have been and will continue to be an important part of our company’s success.”

Babineau – whose journalism career spans more than two decades – has been with Golfweek since 1998, working as a senior writer, deputy editor and editor. Most recently, Babineau helped to lead Golfweek through a substantial redesign, which helped the magazine further solidify its position as the favorite golf weekly among serious golfers.

“The fact I’ve been here for 11-plus years and enjoy it now as much as ever reflects how highly I regard the publication and the people with whom I work,” said Babineau. “I’m honored to accept this title and look forward to being a part of Turnstile Publishing’s continued growth.”
