Steve Argo and Ricardo Catarino named regional operations directors

NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 2, 2009 – Following an extensive internal and external search process, KemperSports announced today that two internal candidates, Steve Argo and Ricardo Catarino, have been tapped to expand their respective roles within company leadership when they assume responsibilities as regional operations directors at the Northbrook, Ill.-based company that operates golf, resort and sports facilities in 28 states and Puerto Rico.

Argo, who has been with KemperSports since 2007 and most recently served as KemperSports’ general manager at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, will oversee operations at KemperSports’ Northern California portfolio of courses, as well as Heron Lakes Golf Course in Portland, Ore. He will continue to serve as the lead liaison to the PGA TOUR and the City of San Francisco as Harding Park prepares to host The Presidents Cup, October 6-11, 2009. He was recently honored by Golf Inc. Magazine in its 2009 list of “Most Admired Operators.”

“Steve has been instrumental in establishing Harding Park as a premier golf club and preparing for The Presidents Cup,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to increasing his role in the company.”

Catarino joined KemperSports in 2001 and will oversee all KemperSports managed properties in Florida, in addition to the Caparra Country Club in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, and the AllGolf portfolio, which includes five properties in Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Ohio. He most recently served as regional manager for the AllGolf portfolio.

“Since joining KemperSports, Ricardo has been very successful in the Southeast market,” said Skinner. “His leadership and dedication to our properties will serve him well in his new role.”
