June 2, 2009 (Oak Brook Terrace, IL) Zero Friction Tees had a strong presence and top finishes over the weekend at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. The event, which was held in Fort Worth , Texas, brings out one of the deepest fields on the PGA Tour’s schedule.
Mark Wilson finished in 22nd place with scores of 67, 71, 66, and 68 (-8). Wilson, one of the newest members of the Zero Friction Staff Team averaged 285.3 yards and had a 58.9% driving accuracy this past week. Wilson also managed to hit 73.6% of greens in regulation. For the 2009 season, Wilson is 40th in FedEx Cup Points and 38th on the PGA Tour Money List.
Kenny Perry continued his stellar 2009 season with a 34th place finish. He finished with a total score of -6 with a low round of 64. Perry averaged 294 yards per drive and had a 57.1% driving accuracy at the Crowne Plaza Invitiational. Currently, Perry is 6th in both FedEx Cup Points and on the PGA Tour Money List.
Ryan Palmer felt right at home in his home state of Texas this past week. The native is also a graduate of Texas A&M University. Palmer’s week was highlighted by a low round of 63 on Friday. He also averaged 299.5 yards per drive and hit 66.7% of greens in regulation. Palmer, like Perry, finished in 34th place with a total score of -6.
