Abacus makes its Pitch

The Swedish apparel company, Abacus, is new to the U.S. golf marketplace. Extremely popular in Europe, Abacus is the official apparel provider for the 2009 European Solheim Cup team. Most notably, their Pitch rain jacket won the “Best Functional Clothing” award at the Golf Europe show in October 2007.

The Solheim Cup is a team golf competition, the women’s equivalent to the men’s Ryder Cup. Every other year, the USA competes against a combined European team in foursomes, best ball, and single matches over the course of three days.
