’18 Holes of Quantum Golf is a book that shows the value of friendship. It’s a book that encourages passion toward one’s goal. The author used Bob and Alec, two senior citizens playing a round of golf, to highlight the importance of care, friendship, love, marriage and, most importantly, explain how science has enabled us to gain a better understanding about the world around us. Also, I loved the addition of humour in between the lines of the story which adds to the point that the author is explaining.’
‘As a lover of history and a science enthusiast, tho’ not a golfer, this was a delightful read. The book will be educational for people who want an easy introduction to the growth of science and the many impacts it has had on our modern world. ‘ As reviewed in Online Book Club – February 2022.
It’s an amazing tale revealed during a slow round of golf by two long time friends as they battle for their personal trophy. As well as having an exciting match, the golfers have plenty of time to chat and their conversations tell the story of how our understanding of the world around us has grown from the ancient Greeks to today where we can put people on the moon and describe everything around us in minute detail. As neither golfer is a scientist their chats are in normal everyday conversations and there are no technical terms that the reader has to puzzle over.
