This marks Jaeger’s third win on the Web.com Tour
OAKLAND, Calif., – May 17, 2018 – For the third time in his professional career, Stephan Jaeger, 18Birdies brand ambassador and rookie on the PGA TOUR, notched a win at a Web.com event, taking home the trophy from the Knoxville Open. The event took place at the Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee and Jaeger finished with a final score of 16-under, 268, three shots clear of the runner up.
A graduate of UT Chattanooga, Stephan joined the PGA TOUR this year after a highly successful season on the Web.com Tour where he notched two wins in a three-week span, winning both the BMW Charity Classic and the Rust-Oleum Championship. Jaeger ranked inside the Top 10 on the Web.com Tour Money List through the majority of last season. Stephan also set the record for the lowest score in the history of professional golf when he shot a 58 in the first round of the 2016 Ellie Mae Classic.
In addition to his on-course success, Jaeger also recently made history with 18Birdies by teaming up with fellow PGA TOUR rookies and 18Birdies’ brand ambassadors, Lanto Griffin, Tom Lovelady and Andrew Yun to break the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Hole of Golf by a Team of Four. The foursome finished the par-5, 17th hole at the Palm Desert Resort Country Club in Palm Desert, California in a record 27.875 seconds, smashing the previous record of 32.7 seconds.
