CELEBRATION, FL (June 9, 2009)-Mystic Dunes Golf Club is hosting the third annual Red White & Blue Invitational on Sunday, July 12, 2009. A portion of the tournament’s proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a non-profit organization aimed at assisting those men and women of the United States armed forces who have been severely injured during war.
“Hosting this tournament and supporting this cause helps ensure the families of our service men and women are given the support they need and deserve,” said Rick Smith, Mystic Dunes Director of Golf Operations.
Sign-in will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. An awards banquet and American-style barbeque with all the traditional fixings will round out the day.
“Bring your clubs and red, white and blue spirit; and we will supply the fun,” said Smith.

In 2008, 115 players raised $1,000 for Wounded Warrior Project. Beginning at the bedside of the severely wounded, WWP provides programs and services designated to ease the burdens of these heroes and their families, aid in the recovery process and smooth the transition back to civilian life.
