This event is different than anything you’ve ever seen before. The 5 Man Golf event gives each participant the opportunity to have a blast whether they are a scratch golfer or have never swung a golf club in their life. By offering more than just a golf tournament, it allows the players something out of the ordinary, an event they will always remember. It’s a combination of a golf tournament, a relaxed atmosphere, and a social gathering to make it the quintessential South Bay event. All participants don costumes as if it were Halloween and bring along their own caddy to ensure that they stay “hydrated” on the course. Quirky and traditional games throughout the day make this more of an “event” than a tournament.
This years’ event will benefit Dig4Kids, which was founded by Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Fonoimoana who will be a guest on the Sport Specific Performance telecast the day of the event. Proceeds from the sale of Sport Specific Performance at the event will benefit Dig4Kids.
Dig4Kids was founded in the spring of 2000 by Professional Beach Volleyball Player, Eric Fonoimoana. It was established after Eric participated in many volleyball clinics and learned of the large disparity that existed in resources for youth athletic programs in disadvantaged communities.
