LIBERTYVILLE, IL (June 9, 2009) Brunswick Country Club, located in Brunswick, GA, a Crescent Systems client since 2007, has just upgraded to the Fine Dining program. The Club currently uses the POS, Event Manager, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, General Ledger, Tee Sheet, Sales Services and Club Manager programs. This addition of Fine Dining arrives in conjunction with the opening of their beautiful new multi-million dollar, 16,000 sq. ft. clubhouse. Amenities include a golf shop, spacious dining areas, a grill room and bar area, locker rooms and a meeting room. A fitness center and swimming pool are scheduled for completion later this year.
Established in 1920, Brunswick Country Club has been a part of the Golden Isles for nearly a century. The Club plays host to the Golden Isles Invitation Tournament each year and attracts players from across the eastern United States.
The Club recently completed the restoration of its golf course by David Love III of Love Golf Design. This venture was very much like an archeological project – uncovering a buried treasure – a true Donald Ross gem. What made this project so unique and special was the opportunity to recreate a golf course according to the design plans of one of history’s greatest course architects. The greens were returned to their original size, shape and elevations. The tee complexes were rebuilt, numerous holes were lengthened and bunkers were reconstructed to today’s standards.
