Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., June 12, 2009 – Social networking helps the EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) connect its members and all women interested in the game of golf. Through a partnership with w2wlink.com, the premier professional online community for women,
EWGA members have exclusive access to EWGA Network Circles to reach other members with similar professional growth goals and career paths. The association also utilizes LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter to reach the vast online communities that these social networks are generating.
w2wlink.com provides expert knowledge, tools to meet challenges and connection with others in online networking groups. The EWGA Network Circles include corporate fast track, entrepreneurial journey, work life balance and networking/work transitions.
“Our relationship with w2wlink.com gives our members another valuable resource to help develop their careers and achieve their professional goals,” says Pam Swensen, CEO of the EWGA. “And having a presence on the predominant social networking sites allows us to reach more women in fresh, fun and informative ways.”
EWGA’s website was revitalized in January when the organization introduced a new logo and branding campaign as part of its five year strategic plan. In addition to its social media pages, EWGA maintains three blogs – The EWGA Championship about the largest U.S. amateur women’s golf competition; Foundation Focus covering the activities of EWGA’s charitable 501(c) 3 organization; and Pam’s P.O.V. (point of view).
“It’s from the corner office but definitely not the ivory tower. My blog is a chance to share some personal observations and hopefully offer added insights that my role provides me within the golf industry,” says Swensen. “Our mission is connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun. We want to utilize every resource available to make those connections.”
