Palm Beach Gardens, FL (June, 2009) Since joining the team at PGA National Resort & Spa in 1985, Jane Broderick has worked with tremendous passion in virtually all phases of golf operations at the legendary resort. It’s no wonder it only took two years as Director of Golf Operations for Broderick to be named to the PGA of America President’s Council on Growing the Game of golf.
Among a prestigious list of PGA members, Broderick remains modest, saying, “I’m not much for the spotlight, but in my heart this recognition reflects on the entire staff, management, ownership, and facility, it is by no means an individual effort, rather a collective effort put forth by an extraordinary team.”
A tremendous source of pride and strength for The PGA of America, the aim of the Council on Growing the Game is to showcase some of the best and brightest in the field who are making an impact on the game. Through programs and the sharing of best practices, PGA Professionals serving on the Council are ideally positioned to lead and mentor fellow PGA members in their communities.
Broderick is also a class “A” LPGA Professional, a PGA Master Professional, and is certified by the PGA of America in Tournament Operations. She has been selected as the 1998 National LPGA Professional of the Year as well as the LPGA Southeast Section Professional of the Year in 1998, 2003 and 2006.
PGA National has played host to more professional golf tournaments than any other resort in the country and is current home to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic. A recently completed $65 million transformation has given PGA National a refreshing new look and feel. For more information call 800-633-9150 or visit www.pgaresort.com.
