On Friday night a black-tie gala affair and Awards dinner will be held at The Hilton Bayfront Hotel and Sport Specific Performance Co-Founders, Randy Rovegno and Brett Stern, will be on hand to interview the celebrities as they walk the Red Carpet. “We will recap their two days of golf, get their personal highlights from the 36 hole event, and cover everything from “what’s in their bag” to “who they’re wearing,” said Rovegno. “It’s going to be a lot of fun, and most important…it’s for a great cause.”
This years’ event will benefit Skill Centers of America (SCOA) to help people who are physically challenged and economically disadvantaged. “It is sometimes easy to say that when we participate in something like this, we are helping other people. But this time it’s true. I have seen first hand the work that SCOA is doing in the community. I have talked with some of the students who are learning, maybe for the first time, that they can have a better future. SCOA is really doing good work in the community, and I am proud to host this tournament to further their abilities to “help people help themselves,” said event host Charlie Joiner.
Proceeds from the sale of Sport Specific Performance at the event will benefit SCOA as well.
