Aldila’s VooDoo® drives Nationwide winner to second win in three weeks, NV® helps St. Jude Classic victor shatter tournament record

POWAY, Calif. – The winner of the Knoxville Open drove his way to his second victory in three weeks using Aldila’s VooDoo® shaft featuring S-core Technology™ in his driver. The win moved him to within one victory of the Nationwide Tour’s automatic “three-win promotion” to the PGA Tour. If a player wins on the Nationwide Tour three times in a single season, he is granted immediate access to the PGA Tour for the rest of that season and all of next.

“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also had a major presence on the PGA Tour this week as the winner used their NV® to go wire-to-wire and capture his second win in five starts at the St. Jude Classic. The victory also earned him a spot in this week’s U.S. Open and launched him to fourth place in the FedEx Cup Point standings.

Led by their highly sought-after shaft, the VooDoo®, Aldila was again the number one wood shaft manufacturer on the Nationwide Tour as well as the hybrid shaft of choice on the PGA and Nationwide Tours by a 2-1 margin over the next leading competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.

What sets the VooDoo above other shafts is its patent-pending S-core (stabilized core) Technology™ designed to maximize distance and provide outstanding accuracy.

“The real ‘magic’ of the VooDoo is its high modulus carbon stabilization rib that runs the length of the shaft and keeps the shaft more concentric, preventing shaft ovaling, deformation and wasted energy during the golf swing,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 percent greater than conventional graphite, and up to 60 percent greater than competitors’ attempts at cross-sectional stabilization.”

Aldila has the unique ability to fuse high-end design with cutting edge technology. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation.
