The Florida based agency is proud to introduce the 2009 Legendary Apprentice Stars internship program where four aspiring marketing professionals compete for cash prizes, another $1,000 cash prize and a paid position with the company.
This summer’s team of L.A. Stars is Brittany Goodman of Bradenton, Danielle Gianfilippo of Clearwater Beach, Stephanie Campbell of Panama City, all from Florida State University and Mark Teague of Gainesville from University of Florida.
“They’re doing a fantastic job, I’m proud of them all. They could be on the beach with their friends, but chose to jumpstart their careers, it’s commendable and something more young people should do,” said Legendary Marketing President and Founder, Andrew Wood.
The Legendary Apprentice internship program was developed to help undergrads and recent grads gain advertising, public relations and sales experience. Interns assist in authoring advertising and PR copy, the production of print ads, brochures, radio spots, flyers, direct mail, work with graphic artists to produce various print and display advertising, interact with clients during weekly conference calls and learn how to manage accounts. It’s a comprehensive crash course on the fundamentals of advertising, public relations and sales.
“I’m learning to write press releases and ad copy, working with the art department revising print ads and learning how to manage accounts. Usually interns file papers and answer phones, but at Legendary Marketing I was thrown into the fire on day one and the experience is priceless.
