Bridgestone Golf’s TOUR B XD-H Wins MyGolfSpy’s 2018 Most Wanted Hybrid Competition
Bridgestone Golf – Innovator and manufacturer of premium golf balls, clubs and accessories – announces its TOUR B XD-H hybrid earned first place in MyGolfSpy’s 2018 “Most Wanted Hybrid Test.”
Designed to complement a variety of players, the XD-H (starting at $199.99) features Flex Action Speed Technology (FAST), which increases ball speed for maximum distance, even on off-center hits. Working in conjunction with FAST, are Power Ribs, promoting stability for increased ball speed and dampening vibration for excellent feel. The face is designed using the company’s Power Milling, which stabilizes the ball at impact to increase quality compression and reduce surface slipping or skidding. Available in lofts of 18, 21 and 24 degrees with multiple shaft options.
MyGolfSpy’s testing included 24 models from the world’s leading equipment manufacturers. It determined the XD-H ranked No.1 in total and carry distance, while imparting the least spin on the golf ball. Data was collected using Foresight Sports’ launch monitors and HMT device. This comprehensive dataset was then run through MyGolfSpy’s proprietary “Most Wanted Rankings” methodology, called TRUERank.
“While Bridgestone Golf is widely known for making the best performing golf balls in the world, our incredible engineers have opened the eyes of players and media who are now recognizing the high-quality of our clubs,” says Zack Kupperbusch, Golf Club Marketing. “The TOUR B XD-H perfectly complements players who are seeking to launch the ball high and far, while keeping it in control.”
PGA TOUR superstar and Bridgestone Golf ambassador Matt Kuchar recently added the TOUR B XD-H hybrid to his bag. He opted for the 18-degree model, debuting it in competition for the first time at the Dell Technologies Championship in August.
The XD-H hybrid is part of the larger TOUR B product family that includes the XD-3, XD-5 and XD-7 drivers, XD-F fairway woods, X-CB irons, XW-1 wedges and X-Blade irons. Each is built to the tightest of tolerances using the finest materials available.
Beyond Kuchar, Bridgestone’s professional staff includes 14-time major championship winner Tiger Woods, FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker, Masters winner Fred Couples, rising stars Bryson DeChambeau, Lexi Thompson and more.
